The feature at Belmont Park on Saturday – which is relatively quiet, given the massive weekend looming ahead – is the $200,000 Pennine Ridge (G3) over 1 1/8 miles on the grass. The race drew a field of eight three-year-old colts, with #4 Social Paranoia – Jose up – drawing alongside #5 Clint Maroon (GB), with Irad in the irons.
Social Paranoia is a Todd Pletcher trainee by Street Boss. “I love the way that he’s been training at Belmont Park,” Jose said. “Last week’s breeze was very impressive with a great gallop out. I’ve been watching videos from previous races and he always tries his best.”
